[802.3AZ] Resend: Wake shrinkage Ad Hoc call Wednesday 8th April at 5:00PM CEST; 4:00PM BST; 11:00 AM EDT; 8:00AM PDT

Resend with correct time zones for this time of year - apologies for the
duplication.

All,

At the IEEE P802.3az Energy-efficient Ethernet meeting during the March
IEEE 802 plenary the output of the 'Wake time shrinkage' Ad Hoc meetings
was adopted for inclusion in the draft. This addressed the Twisted-pair
PHYs but the Wake Time values for the Backplane PHYs, 1000BASE-KX,
10GBASE-KR and 10GBASE-KX4, remain to be calculated. Based on this the
"Wake time shrinkage" Ad Hoc was re-chartered with the objectives:

[1] Calculate the minimum PHY TX Wake Time shrinkage for the Backplane
PHYs
[2] Calculate the minimum PHY RX Wake Time shrinkage for the Backplane
PHYs

I'm therefore calling a meeting of the Ad Hoc as detailed below. I have
scheduled the call for 90 minutes. If you have any material you would like
to present, please send it to me by 4:00PM PDT Tuesday 7th April so I can
update the agenda and distribute it.

If you do intend to join the call please ensure that you review the
IEEE-SA PatCom slides [
http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.pdf ] prior to the start
of the conference call. At the start of call I will ask that everybody
confirms that they have read this material - if anybody hasn't we will
pause the call until they confirm that they have done so.

Best regards,
  David Law

Proposed Agenda
---------------

[1] Patent policy
[2] Review calculations for the Backplane PHYs of the parameters above
[3] Discuss next meeting / call of adhoc
