Frank,
The residential DSL customer is buying low cost flat rate intermediate
(high to him) bandwidth Internet services. He does not expect to get
anything better. In most cases, he is unwilling to pay for anything
better. That is the point.
As long as you are targeting an IP type service market, then you will have
a hard time selling anything better. This does not fit the "broad market
potential" that is in the five criteria.
