Larry,
    I will try to make the call at 1:00 pm EDT. A comment on Meir's diagram: it looks like the BER will be measured as the signal is attenuated. It would be better to measure the BER as the length of the line is increased at different temperatures. If time permits I will try to do this measurement next week. We can increase the line length in multiples of 5 km.

Attached is a  proposed test methodology from Meir Bartur of Zonu measure the distance improvement in MPN limited links achievable with a low line BER's (approx.  10E-4).  This low BER will be corrected by the proposed frame FEC scheme to 10E-12.

We will discuss this test on tomorrow's conference call.
