[802.3BA] Reminder: [802.3BA] XR ad hoc Phone Conference Notice

This is a reminder of the next XR ad hoc conference phone call scheduled
for Thursday, June 26, 2008, 8:30 to 10:30 AM US PDT.
I hope to update as many of the cells in the attribute comparison matrix
as possible prior to the meeting. However, that is dependent on the
authors/contributors of the various proposals supplying me with content.

A future phone conference is proposed for Thursday, June 26, 2008, 8:30
to 10:30 AM US PDT.
The ad hoc group requests system vendors and others to provide feedback
on their requirements and recommend criteria for comparing the following
proposed techniques.
a) Enhance optical attributes of modules.
b) Reduce module jitter input and outputs with CDRs.
c) Replace limiting receivers with linear receivers and use EDC in host
ICs.
d) Use FEC in host ICs to compensate for higher link BER.
All are encouraged to review the material presented during the first two
teleconferences
