[802.3BA] Reminder - Call for Presentations - July Plenary

All,

The IEEE P802.3ba Task Force will be meeting during the July IEEE 802 Plenary Meeting (July 13 - 18, 2008).  Meeting details may be found at http://ieee802.facetoface-events.com/sessions/50/index.php.   You are strongly encouraged to make your reservations as soon as possible.

Reminder that presentation requests are due Friday, July 4, 2008, and presentation materials are due by Tuesday, July 8, 2008.  Presentation style guidelines may be found at the Procedure for Presenters web page: http://www.ieee802.org/3/ba/public/presentproc.html.

Presentations should be mailed to me at jdambrosia@xxxxxxxx.   As a reminder, please make sure that all requests for presentations or submissions of presentation material have no restrictive notices at the bottom of the email.  All such emails will be refused.

Attached is link to initial call for presentations for the July Plenary - http://www.ieee802.org/3/hssg/email/msg01160.html.

The agenda for the meeting will be baseline proposal selection, which will be used to drive the generation of a baseline.  Remaining proposals to be adopted include: PMA, XLAUI / CAUI, PMD Service Interface, 40G / 100G over > 10m Cu Cabling, and 40G over > 10km SMF.  In addition the Extended Reach Parallel MMF Ad Hoc has been considering ways to formulate a proposal to extend the reach over parallel multimode fiber beyond 100m.  Successful resolution of these issues will significantly aid us in the generation and adoption of a baseline draft coming out of our September meeting.  I strongly encourage the task force to continue with the consensus building ways demonstrated in preparation for our May meeting.

Also, as a reminder during the July 2008 IEEE 802 Plenary Session all working groups will require members to sign into the IMAT Attendance application using their IEEE Web Account.
