The Crowne Plaza has complementary high-speed internet access in guestrooms. The hotel is situated in downtown Ottawa. See the Ottawa Tourism web site for more information.
Reservations can be made through the Crowne Plaza guest room reservation site. Our group booking code is 'HSS'. Alternatively reservations can also be made by calling the Crowne Plaza on +1 613 237 3600 ext 6200. If reserving by phone, please identify yourself as part of the 'IEEE 802 meeting' so that you get the correct room rate.
The reservation deadline for rooms in our block is March 31st, 2007. The special room rate will be available until March 31st or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Reservations made after that date will be accepted on a space available basis. Everyone is encouraged to reserve a room as quickly as possible. Reservations must be guaranteed with major credit card. Release of the guarantee will occur so long as notice of cancellation is given to the Crowne Plaza Hotel before 4PM on the day of arrival. The room rate is available from April 16th to April 18th.
Meeting Registration
The advanced web registration cost per attendee will be $125.00 (USD) and the late registration fee will be $150.00 (USD) after April 3rd. The registration fee will cover meeting rooms, AV equipment, power hook-ups for laptop computers, food and beverage (continental breakfast, coffee and cookies), wireless high speed internet access in the meeting room, and other related meeting services/supplies. On-site registrations of $150.00 (USD) will be accepted. Cancellations with full refund are allowed.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel is about 8 miles from Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW). There is a hotels shuttle bus ($C14 one way). A taxi will cost approximately $C30.00.
