[STDS-802-3-MAINT] Fwd: [802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3cj) Maintenance #12 (Revision) initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results



Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the Revision IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3cj) Maintenance #12 (Revision) closed successfully on 21st August 2017. The results of the ballot are included in the forwarded message below. 

Reports of the comments received, one sorted by clause and the other by comment ID, may be found at the following link.

The reports include the 147 comments received during the ballot and 1 comment received after the ballot closed (marked as "late" in the comment reports). Two comments included attachments which may be found at the same link.

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the Revision IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3cj) Maintenance #12 (Revision) closed successfully on 21st August 2017. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The September 2017 IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3cj) Task Force interim meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 147 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3cj) Task Force reflector.

An additional comment was received after the ballot closed, this comment will be marked as 'late' in the comment report and will be considered by the IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3cj) Task Force if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so.

The ballot statistics are:

 210 Voters
 117 Approve
   4 Disapprove
  12 Abstain
 133 Ballots returned

 63.33% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  9.02% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
 96.69% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
