Colleagues: I am looking for a host for an interim meeting of the
802.3at and 802.3ay (maintenance) on the following dates: 17 Oct – 802.3ay, ten people 18 Oct – 802.3at, forty people 19 Oct – 802.3at, forty people If you think that you could help by providing a meeting
location for this, please be aware of the following limitations: 1) Access to
the facility can not require the visitors to sign and NDA or otherwise sign
limitations on behavior. Many corporate “badging” processes
require visitors to sign in on what amounts to a contract. This type of
limitation is inappropriate for a technical forum such as the IEEE. 2) Attendees
will need access to tea/coffee/soda/lunch/snacks/etc. Attendees can pay
for these items, they need not be provided gratis. 3) For the Oct
17 meeting, a teleconference will be required. A speaker phone capable of
calling an outside service would be suitable. If this is to occur, then we need to finalize the
arrangements and send the announcement not later than Monday September 17.
I realize this is a stretch, if you could help this would be greatly
appreciated. One final word, you may jump through the hoops to help us
out only to find that the meeting occurs somewhere else. It is a sad
consequence of this type of broadcast request for help that another competing
offer may be accepted. Please do not make any irreversible commitments
