By popular demand, the meeting will start at 6pm not 5pm so that the TF can continue to resolve comments.

Colleagues,

As announced by the TF Chair, the Layer 2 (DLL) adhoc will be meeting this afternoon at 5pm in the 802.3at meeting room. We are scheduled to meet for an hour and our primary goal will be to propose remedies to the comments in this area. This email contains the proposed agenda, categorization of comments / work areas and a reminder for the patent policy slides. The adhoc meeting will start at 6pm Eastern time this afternoon as previously announced.
 

Proposed Agenda

- Cover Patent policy
- Review and approve agenda
- Cover comment and suggested work areas (see below)
- Review any new consensus text (if any and time)
- Review contributions (if any and time)
- Discuss next steps / next mtg. of adhoc prior to Nov if necessary

Categorization of Comments / Work Areas

Here are the broad areas we have comments on:

- Register bits: 205, 207, 113, 206, 204
- TLVs: 158
- State Machine: 210, 211, 214, 60
- Loss of communication: 209, 61, 213, 208 
 

Patent Policy Reminder

As a reminder, please review the IEEE-SA PatCom slides [ http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.pdf <http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.pdf>  ] prior to the start of our meeting today. This will be the first order of business before we move into discussing the proposed agenda.
