Colleagues:
We have over 363 comments that need to be addressed over the
next two and a half days of meetings. While this is a good bit of work to
accomplish, it is achievable. It is also imperative that we address these
comments during this meeting if we have any hope of completing the standard in
a timely manner. To ensure we achieve our goal; we will operate under the
following schedule this week:
- We will start Tuesday at 8:30. The
start time of Wednesday and Thursday will be decided at the close of the
prior day. If necessary we will begin earlier as the week progresses.
- Wednesday we are required to
stop not conflict with the standard and Thursday we must stop to attend
the closing 802.3 plenary. I am therefore providing notice that we will
work until we dispose of at least half of the comments tomorrow. I would
hope that we can be reasonable and end at 5:00, but if our work is not
done we will continue into the evening. Please make flexible social plans
for Tuesday night.
- If needed, I will schedule
post-social meetings for Wednesday evening.
I will start tomorrow at 8:30 – there will be no grace
period.
