[802.3af] 802.3af May Interim Meeting Announcement

IEEE 802:      Meeting Information Update Memo  1st Announcement

SUBJ:              IEEE 802.3af DTE Power Interim Meeting 

May 13-15, 2002 Las Vegas, NV.





Important information for all potential IEEE 802.3af DTE Power attendees:

a)     The Doubletree Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be the site for the May 2002 IEEE 802.3af DTE Power Interim Meeting.  The cut-off date for the block is April 22, 2002.  To make your hotel reservation, you must contact the hotel directly by calling: 702-948-4000 Monday Friday 9am-5pm. Please let them know that you will be attending the IEEE 802.3 af DTE Power Interim Meeting when making your room reservation.  The special IEEE 802.3af DTE group rate is $87/night for single/double occupancy plus applicable taxes.  Check in time is 3:00pm, check out is 12:00 noon. To avoid penalty, room reservations must be canceled 24 hours prior to your day of arrival.

b)     The Doubletree Las Vegas is located 2 miles from Las Vegas International Airport.  The Doubletree offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Airport and the strip.  Hotel self-parking for in-house guests and other visitors is complimentary as well.

c)     There are many attractions close to the Doubletree Hotel including the Las Vegas Strip and the Belz Factory Outlet World.

d)     The IEEE 802.3 af DTE Power Meeting will begin Monday, May 13th at 8:00am and will complete on Wednesday, May 15th at 5:00 pm. 

e)     To attend this particular Interim Meeting, there will be a $200.00US registration fee.  Please see below on how to register.

Here is the hotel and registration information for the May Interim meeting. Please call the hotel and make your reservations immediately and make sure that you let them know that you are part of the IEEE 802.3af group. Then go to the registration Website and register. I will be sending out daily reminder e-mails. Lunch will be provided as part of the package, as well as a reception hosted by the hotel early Tuesday evening.
This information will be posted on the 802.3 Website under the Meeting section.
