I have just found out from IEEE Help Desk that all emails from the outside world sent to an ieee.org email address between 6pm ET 9/13 through approximately 10am ET 9/14  were NOT received . 

This means that is someone sent an email to ____@ieee.org between this time it was not received. 

I was told: 
This affects all members who use the ieee email alias. 
This does not affect internal email from staff to staff.
