Dear EC,

The errors that Apurva noted in the r8 version have been corrected. Also Roger pointed out that the document was not marked as a draft. It is now Watermarked as such. The r8 in version in Mentor now reflects these corrections.

As a reminder this ballot ends May 9th.

To date the vote count is:

Approves:

Bruce Kraemer
Tony Jeffree
Subir Das
Clint Chaplin
Mike Lynch
James Gilb
Apurva Mody

Disapproves:

Roger Marks

Abstains:

None to date.

Regards,

Mike

Dear EC.

Apurva noted a formatting and a spelling error in the r8 version of this document. Please find attached the corrected version of the document.

IMHO one of the issues is that there are so many varieties of Word used in this document that formatting it has become difficult. The version attached here is locked.

Regards,

Mike

Subject: +++ 10-day EC Email Ballot +++ IEEE 802 Comments Supporting License-Exempt Usage of TV White Spaces

Dear EC,

802.18 held two conference calls last week to review, edit and ultimately approve document 18-12-0030-07 for submission to the FCC. The document encourages the FCC to preserve a portion of the TVWS for license-exempt technologies. The final 802.18 vote approving the document on 25 April was 5/0/0.

Subsequently document 18-12-0030-08 was generated with edits such as formatting changes, the addition of an IEEE 802 letterhead, Paul's and my signature blocks. It is available on the IEEE 802.18 Mentor web site.

Paul has authorized me to conduct a ten day EC mail ballot on the following motion.

MOTION: The EC approves document 18-12-0030-08, titled "IEEE 802 Comments Supporting License-Exempt Usage of TV White Spaces". Mover-Mike Lynch, Seconder-Apurva Mody

Motion for a 10 day ballot:

Start of ballot: 30 April

Close of ballot: 9 May

As per current P&P the ballot will close earlier if it becomes apparent that the question has been determined.

Regards,

Mike
