Dear EC Members,

The 802.22 Working Group has accepted the change as proposed by the 802.11 WG to change the name of the P802.22.3 PAR from ‘Spectrum Occupancy Sensing’ to ‘Spectrum Characterization and Occupancy Sensing (SCOS).’

This is the only change in the PAR and CSD since Wednesday before 5 pm. The documents showing this change from Wednesday are attached, and can be found at:

The 802.22 WG will be seeking EC approval to submit the P802.22.3 PAR with the suggested name change to the IEEE SA NESCOM during the Closing Meeting on Friday.

The Working Group is considering your request.

This is a good suggestion and we are discussing this in the 802.22 WG.

We plan to bring an updated PAR and CSD with the name change to the EC meeting on Friday.

2.1 Suggest title be “Spectrum Characterization and Occupancy Sensing (SCOS)“

then update throughout the the PAR.

I think you may want to delay the bringing the PAR this week IMHO...
