Re: [802SEC] +++ECM: Formation of new IEEE 802.3 Study Groups press release

David

I approve.

In a related note, we really should have a single sentence tag line for 802 in these (and related) documents.

For example, "IEEE 802 is the leading Layer 1 and 2 networking standards development organization in the world." or "IEEE 802 is the world leader in developing wired and wireless standards for Internet connectivity"

Both are pretty bad, but they gives the idea. Discuss amongst yourselves.

James Gilb

PS: Yes, I know we need to be careful to differentiate ourselves from IETF and not claim to do what they do.

PS2: Yes, other organizations (e.g., ITU, 3GPP) may also want to claim to be the world leaders, so we need to be sensitive to that as well.
