IEEE-SA recently hosted GSC-21 at the new European office in Vienna.  GSC is a forum of leadership from the primary standardization development organizations:  ITU, ISO, IEC, IEEE, ETSI, ATIS, TIA, ARIB, CCSA, TTA, TTC, TSDSI

 

The discussion summarized the work program of each SDO and focused on two hot topics:  artificial intelligence and smart cities.

 

All documents from GSC-21 are publicly available on the website .

 

The agreed output is a Communique that indicates, for example:

• The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in autonomous systems will transform society…and requires the use of existing and new standards
• Standards-bases smart city solutions will enable interoperability of services across cities and communities.
