Harmonics WG - Vice Chair Bill Moncrief EPRI 606 Pine Terrace Canton, GA 30114 |
2. |
Introduction - Tom reviewed the schedule for the week and gave a brief introduction outlining how the Harmonics Working Group (HWG) fits into the IEEE-PES structure, the Task Forces associated with the HWG, and its liaisons to other groups. He recommended that we establish a liaison with P1433. Gil Hensley offered to attend those meetings and be the official liaison. |

519 A Task Force - Bill Moncrief reported for Task Force P519A. The draft document has received comments from interested parties, and those comments re being incorporated. A new draft will be posted on the website and presented to the standards board for consideration this summer. A tutorial will be developed based on the new draft. We found that the IAS had submitted a PAR for revision of Std 519. The committee decided that the revision should be a joint IAS-PES effort. Mark McGranaghan moved and Dave Hartman seconded a motion to appoint Mark Halpin the PES Co-Chair of the joint Committee. Approved unanimously |

University of Nevada Las Vegas Interharmonics Task Force - Chair |
3.3 |
Probabilistic Aspects of Harmonics - Paulo Riberio reported that the committee is looking for real system, practical data. Dan Sabin was volunteered to present a probabilistic view of the DPQ data at the Summer Meeting. John Kennedy offered to provide data from the EV chargers at the Olympic Games™. |

Liaison Reports Include: Alex Emanuel reported that ICHQP VIII will be held in Athens, Greece October 14-16, 1998. ICHQP VIII is sponsored by IEEE Power Engineering Society and co-sponsored by the IEEE Greece Section, IEEE Greek Power Chapter, National Technical University of Athens, and the Public Power Corporation of Greece. They have 110 abstracts in hand. The 2000 conference will be in Orlando, with Alex Domijan as Chairman. ICHPQS X will be scheduled for Rio de Janeiro in 2002. |
||
|
Mark Halpin reported that the IAS Harmonics Working Group met in New Orleans, and will establish 2 task forces: Low Order Harmonics, and Harmonic Limits Within An Industrial Facility. Don Ruthman reported that the IAS Power Quality Working Group presented three technical papers, and called attention to a letter circulated by EIA stating a position on IEC 1000-2-3 Brian Prokuda stated that the LV Filters WG did not meet in Berlin, but the HV Filters WG did meet. Together, they are close to issuing a draft guide on low and medium voltage harmonic filters. |
