Hello all! I'm looking for recommendations of experts in the emerging field
of preventing online cheating. I'm not talking about simply limiting access
to those with passwords, but validating and authenticating that the entity
taking a course or undergoing evaluation is, in fact, the right person and
only has access to those materials allowed in the course and test
conditions.
For background, I am investigating prevention of online cheating, or
training compromise, for a large worldwide customer organization that
provides significant rewards and job preferences to those that complete
specific courses of training. The challenge of preventing compromise of
this program in an environment with some completing the courses in person
and some completing them online is a major impediment to institutional
adoption of online delivery. Graduates of online courses are viewed with a
jaded eye as possibly suspect compared to those completing the training in
residence.
Please give me your thoughts and let me know who are the pioneers and
experts in this emerging area.
