Greetings Colleagues!
It is good to see the current postings on my online discussion on
assessment. I want to relate that Anita Pincas made an excellent point when
she stated that "Nevertheless, despite the rich range of experiences and
collaboration that we expose them to, and from which they definitely learn,
some still comment that they would have liked more feedback than we give."

This is a vital issue that I would like us to explore more because every
online teacher has to face time limitations in providing feedback to their
students. I often grade papers within the student's Word document which
gives them context for my remarks. Yet, it is a time consuming process and
students do need the detailed feedback to have an accurate picture of their
skills and knowledge of the subject matter. I have enclosed a grading rubric
from a colleague of mine that does offer one way to provide feedback to
students.
