OBJECTIVES
This conference is designed to serve as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion
and exchange of information on the research, development, and applications in all
areas related to multimedia, hypermedia, and networking in e-learning and new services
in general. It supports dissemination of experiences related to the utilization of
progressive communication technologies. The aim is to build up an extensive base of
future customers and users of communication services and to support various forms of
co-operation among users and e-learning providers.

CONFERENCE STRUCTURE
Conference will consist of a plenary session and several technical sessions.
The plenary session will consist of keynotes presented by invited speakers
(representatives of governmental, academic and industrial institutions).
Technical sessions will provide information for a wide spectrum of the general public,
experts and specialists from research, industry and academic institutions,
who are interested in the general areas of broadband communication and emerging
computer nrtworking infrastructures, novel applications over such infrastructures,
and the Internet.

TOPICS:

The scope of the conference includes, but is not limited to, the following major topics
as they relate to the educational and developmental aspects of multimedia/hypermedia
and networking:

    * Evaluation of the impact of high-speed and new generation Internet access on
users and on Internet performance
    * Presentation and sharing of experiences in the implementation and operation of
the emerging broadband communication technologies, in particular of high-speed Internet
    * Presentations of verified public-oriented network-based applications and systems
(i.e., multimedia applications, videoconferencing, IP streaming with elements of Quality
of Service);
    * Design and architectures of Distributed Learning Environments
    * Methodologies for WWW-based course-support systems
    * Multimedia/Hypermedia Systems
    * Presentation and sharing of knowledge in the implementation and operation of
e-strategies (i.e., telemedical and tele-educational services)
