Just a quick update, not a formal report. A couple of IEEE staff are on vacation. I expect the renewal ballot invitation for IEEE 1212.1 to go out when they get back. Created web site on IEEE Grouper server for P1394.3 balloting 2. Created mailing list for at IEEE for P1394.3 3. Submitted final electronic and bound hardcopy ballot draft to IEEE Staff Liasion for balloting. 4. Followed up with Staff Liasion. Some confusion over whether P1394.3 would be an electronic ballot. (It is supposed to be.) Latest update is that ballot notice email should be sent by Sept. 25th. 5. Based on above, BRC would be end of October or beginning of November based on scheduling availability. Respectfully submitted, Gregory LeClair P1394.3 WG Chair 1301, 1301.1 & 1301.2 Reaffirmation ----------------------------------- Don and Bob, I will make every effort to attend the October 9th meeting. In the event that my plans get fouled up, I am pleased to report that I have sent the cover letter to Denise Scozzafava @ IEEE to start the reaffirmation ballot of IEEE 1301, 1301.1 & .2 standards. Ballots should be going out within the next week or so per Denise. regards Jim Koser FCI Electronics 717 938-7679 1596 Internationalization ------------------------- To: g.kohn%ieee.org@interlock.lexmark.com cc: d.pribula%ieee.org@interlock.lexmark.com, Don_Wright/Lex/Lexmark@LEXMARK (bcc: Don Wright/Lex/Lexmark) Subject: You still need part of IEEE 1596 for IEC! I understand that you have finally managed to get the IEC to agree with the IEEE so the 1596 editorially corrected document can be produced! Congratulations! But there have been corrections to the software, the diskette that goes with the standard, too. The current version is online, or contact me for a copy when you are ready to produce the new diskettes. David Gustavson 1596 Chair -- --David B. Gustavson, tel:650/961-0305 fax:208/475-7525 Exec.
