The next meeting of the IEEE Rail Transit Vehicle Interface Standards Committee will be held September 16-17, 1998 in the Promenade F room at the Adams Mark Hotel in Saint Louis. Meetings will run from 1PM to 6PM on Wednesday and 8:30AM to 5:00PM on Thursday. (Phone 314 241 7400 for rooms) A detailed agenda will be provided later. However the meeting will be dealing primarily with resolving affirmative and negative comments from the recirculation ballot of the WG5 Propulsion Braking/Master Control Standard and the first ballot of the WG1 Communications Protocol Standard. In addition we will do a first review of the WG6 Auxiliary Power Standard and a second review of the WG3 Event Recorder Standard. We will also decide whether to delegate balloting authority to WG2, Communications Based Signaling. In addition we will have reports from all working groups.
