Scope:
This standard outlines the requirements for design of overhead contact systems so that they comply with all codes and standards and insure consistency for every designed system.

Purpose:
At the present time, there are no unified standards governing the design of  overhead contact systems for streetcar, light rail, heavy rail or trolley bus. This standard provides methods and guidelines for consistent and safe design of OCS.
