News: Ray Davis has assumed the duties of co-chair. Gary Clarner, former co-chair will continue as a working group member.

Scope:
This standard determines methods and techniques for working on overhead contact systems for heavy rail, light rail, and trolley bus systems, when they are energized

Purpose:
At the present time, there are no unified standards governing safe working methods on energized direct current overhead contact systems. This standard provides methods and guidelines for maintenance workers where the OCS must be maintained when energized.
