Scope:
This standard the terminology used to describe words and phrases used in the overhead contact systems industry and by applicable OCS standards and recommended practices

Purpose:
At the present time, there is no unified standard for terminology of overhead contact system words or phrases and this standard presents the industry accepted descriptions of systems and components used in OCS.
