The IEEE Standards Board approved the 6 Project Authorization Requests for
the Working Groups Identified at left. The Sub-Committee is meeting
regularly to share information and develop the draft standards. Text
development continues.
Standard P1628 Recommended Practice for
Maintenance for DC Overhead Contact Systems for Transit Systems has been
approved and is an official IEEE Standard for recommended practice.
A new Working Group has been formed for the purposes of publishing a glossary
of OCS terminology and a
PAR has been assigned, P1791. It has been sent out for a
ballot group formation.
A new group has been formed for the
development of general OCS design standards. IEEE has issued a PAR for this
working group and it is P1833.
A new group has been formed for the development
of a recommended practice for performing maintenance on energized OCS.
Standard P1626 has officially been withdrawn by
the IEEE.
Standard P1627 has been sent out for ballot
group formation. |
