Background:
On April 4, 2002 a group of electric transit industry representatives interested in forming a sub-committee to establish dc Traction Power Substation Standards met in New York City. As a result, the IEEE Rail Transit Vehicle Interface Standards Committee created this sub-committee to explore the needs of the industry and develop any needed standards, in this regard.
