Scope:
This standard determines minimum structural requirements for structural supports used for overhead contact systems for heavy rail, light rail, and trolley bus systems, including loading, safety factors and deflection.		 Purpose:
At the present time, there are no suitable standards governing structural requirements for supports used for overhead contact systems. Such standards will improve design efficiency for new and existing rail transit projects.
