Discussion started with the attributes of failure.

It was decided that HierarchicalElement needs re-examination to determine the appropriate structure and semantic definition. Options ranging from eliminating the entity to retaining as is to creating parallel elements were discussed. All received homework to consider alternatives.

Due to travel, next week's meeting has been cancelled. The next meeting of the ad hoc group will be 7/31/06.
