The D&MC Subcommittee last met at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth, UK
on April 21-23, 2009. The minutes from that meeting can
be found here. In addition, the
following provides the status of the current projects under the D&MC
subcommittee.
P1232: AI-ESTATE
(PAR expires December 2009)
The ballot on the revision of AI-ESTATE is nearing completion. It appears that the standard
will pass its initial ballot; however, at least 500 comments will make ballot resolution and
recirculation necessary. The goal is to have P1232 to the Standards Board by October for
approval at their December 2009 meeting.
P1445: DTIF
(Standard expires December 2009)
The DTIF standard is about to expire, and the DMC is in the process of initiating a
reaffirmation ballot. The reaffirmation is expected to begin in late May 2009 with
planned submission to the Standards Board for approval at their September 2009 meeting.
P1546: DTIF Application Guide
(Standard expires December 2011)
The DTIF application guide was approved in 2000 and was reaffirmed June 7, 2006.
P1636: SIMICA
(Standard requires reaffirmation or revision by December 2010)
The SIMICA standard has been approved by the IEEE-SA Standards Board and is now starting the
process to be published. The official designation is IEEE STD 1636-2009.
P1636.1: Test Results
(Standard expires December 2009)
The trial-use period for Test Results is coming to an end. The DMC has decided to revise
the standard and to tighten the semantic model associated with the XML schema.
P1636.2: Maintenance Action Information
(PAR expires December 2010)
The MAI standard has successfully completed the initial ballot with 75% approval. The standard
now moves into the ballot resolution phase. The standard is expected to be recirculated and then
submitted to the Standards Board for approval by the September 2009 meeting.
