Title: IEEE Std 1522. Standard for Artificial Intelligence Exchange and Service Tie to All Test Environments (AI-ESTATE): Testability and Diagnosability Characteristics and Metrics.

Sponsor: IEEE Standards Coordinating Committee 20 on Test and Diagnosis for Electronic Systems

Purpose: AI-ESTATE will provide a controlled interface for knowledge acquisition/representation, test programs, test executives, databases, and others as necessary for testing activities.

Brief Overview

AI-ESTATE provides a family of standards for applying artificial intelligence technology to fault diagnosis. This standard provides the umbrella for the family by defining the architecture within which the standards are used. By providing a standard architecture, AI-ESTATE facilitates developing and incorporating powerful, flexible diagnostics into any test environment in a cost-effective way. The approach taken in defining the standards provides broad applicability to test problems, including manufacturing test, certification and ready-for-issue test, and maintenance test.
