Call to order

Review agenda

Review meeting minutes from 05-D meeting. Approved without change.

Liaisons:

Action Item Review

Lunch break, 11:40 to 1:45

Tim Davis led “sticky-note” exercise to start modeling SIMICA data.

“Messed With” is a phrase found in several attributes on the sheets. E.g. “serial number messed with”. Tim suggested tearing them up, but we kept them.

Repair Action is a subtype of Maintenance Action

We did not distinguish between a maintenance action instance and a maintenance action procedure.

“part date code” is the date that the part was manufactured.

Meeting finished at 4:40.

Day 2: Wednesday, January 18, 2006

Tim Davis presented an ISO 10303 Part 28 overview. Found most recent version on NIST web site, dated 2004

Darryl presented slides describing methods for validating beyond W3C XML Schema, including programming code, Schematron, and XSLT.

Tim Wilmering discussed OWL

Oscar F. presented LM's work on WSDL services. For the most part, the WSDL services do not depend on the XML Model Schemas

New services discussion:

Darryl presented slides on XML-enabled services. Objective to try and pass more information with each service call, building on existing services.

  1. Extend save_exchange_model and load_exchange_model to support option of moving XML rather than part 21.  Also change the parameter specified as "path" to a URI that will support save/load from “anywhere.”

  2. show_session_trace:  leave as is but tighten the spec to say that the formatted string is meant to be displayed as formatted, and not processed further.  Change name to show_session_information?

  3. show_session: (new) – dumps all session data as an instantiated DCM in XML format

  4. show_node – the idea is that the entire XML node is returned – and in order to preserve the fidelity with the EXPRESS model an approach to constructing the 1232 XML schemas that uses XML links (refs) to represent the many to many graph relationships in the model.

  5. show_nodeclass – no specific use case – seems useful though

The realization occurred that "get" services return things of type <attributetype> - Darryl will revisit his proposal to see if this has any effect on his proposal.

Lockheed will also revisit their service definitions based on this interpretation of the spec.

Lunch Break

Darryl presented his approach to the model schemas. He has not yet shown it to Tim Davis and John Ralph. He will discuss it with them off line.

Joe Stanco described SIMICA in general.

Mukund M. presented the PAR for 1636.2, Maintenance Action Data. Group reviewed and edited the PAR form.

Afternoon Break

Mukund M. presented the MAF requirements spreadsheet, and the comparison spreadsheet.

Mukund presented the draft requirements document for MAF. The DMC reviewed and edited the document.

John Ralph presented the Test Results Schema. John just presented it to ATML and they pointed out that sometimes one does not know the various UUT identifier information in TR. Their discussion and ours resulted in making all the UUT identification-related data optional. The same same thing happened to the test station identification-related data.

Tim W. pointed out that Test Results, while designed as a doc description, represents the data and relationships that are available in system repositories and can be used in the API into those repositories.

Meeting finished at 5:40

Day 3: Thursday, January 19, 2006

Wrap-up of discussions

Darryl said that the services need to be reexamined, given the agreement that services can pass structured entities.

Bill G. presented relevant MIL standards to SIMICA

Agenda for 06B was approved by the committee.
