These are not minutes, but
are brief notes of the teleconference
held October 26, 2004 at 11:00am
CDT. Note this teleconference
was not a meeting so there were no
motions.
- Pete Klammer
compiled the comments in the discussion reflector and sent the compiled list
(lengthy) to the discussion reflector during this
teleconference.
- Pete Klammer
will make the first shot of pulling the compiled into one concise
document. ("smashing" the various submittals)
- Everyone
else is to comment and suggest changes to the document that Pete puts together
and sends to the Discussion reflector (stds-1583-disc@ieee.org).
- Following
the above, activity will be the work
to start mapping the text in the current draft standard to the new
structure.
- A need for a
top level overview of the hierarchy was expressed.
- Decided to
have a follow-up teleconference in two weeks (Nov 9) at 11:00am CDT to go
over the progress. If a teleconference was desired earlier, there
would be at least 48 hours notice. Doug Fletcher to send an announcement
to the main reflector.
- Decided to
keep the physical meeting in Piscataway on Nov 18-19 to help keep things
going and to allow a full committee discussion and vote on the structure
changes to the draft standard.
