RE: Over the next few months...
Dear Adam,
Most of the work I have been involved with can be found at either the IIDEAS
website David referred to below, or the EPISTLE web site
http://www.stepcom.ncl.ac.uk/epistle from which (follow data modelling) the
EPISTLE Core Model can be found (currently being standardised as ISO15926).
The EPISTLE work is a general ontology, that amongst other things, supports
the development and integration of domain ontologies at a lower level. It is
the result of some 50 manyears years effort over 8 years in primarily the
Oil and Gas industry. The IIDEAS work is a further development along the
same theme, trying to learn and build on the EPISTLE experience without
carrying forward mistakes and compromises.
