jim,
this would be a waste of effort on your part, as i would
not participate in any community where i am not accorded
the status of a first-class citizen. i would insist on
a vote to expell, or some other token of due process,
before acceding to your censorship.
i hope you understand that no member of this group works for you,
nor does any participant incur the obligation to follow your orders.
we all volunteer our time and our expertise as members of the public
on which the dictates and the effects of any standard must ultimately
bear, and as members of our respective private and professional groups,
our personal commitments to which, and the duties and responsibilites of
which, trump any desire that sundry special interest groups might have to
achieve spurious forms of apparent, forced, local, or short-term consensus.
let me suggest this compromise:
i will voluntarily restrain my postings to the main suo list --
or "posings", as the case may be -- to one or fewer summary
reports per day, for the near future, at least.
would that be satisfactory to you?
looks like a slow news day, anyway,
so why do we count this as "one".
it was a day like any other day,
only you were there 17 Dec 2001.
