Re: SUO: Definition of life
John,
We have disagreements on many issues, but I really wish you could be a
little more generous in your comments. I have indeed read a volume of
Peirce's collected writings and enjoyed them ("The Collected Writings of
C.S. Peirce", Dover edition). In response to your advice prior to the SUO
project I also read several other original and edited works of
philosophy. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a philosopher, and
don't have formal training in the field. I do try very hard to do my
homework however, and honest, well-meaning people can do their homework in
the same areas and still reach widely varying conclusions.
