SUO: My ballot response

Ballot Question #1: Yes

Comment: I don't see answering Yes to both as being inconsistent. I see question #1 asking: "Does SUO WG want to make progress on SUMO?" -- Yes, I'd like us to make progress on SUMO, I'd like us to start some kind of formal review -- a successful result of the question #1 ballot would mean (to me) that we must handle work items that involve review of SUMO. This doesn't exclude review other inputs, i.e., answering Yes to Question #1 is non-exclusive.

Ballot Question #2: Yes

Comment: Answering Yes to this question means (to me) that there are three technologies that we are interested *PLUS* there are some additional organizational details to our work. Although answering Yes to question 2 might imply everything on question #1, if the question #2 ballot fails, I'd still like question #1. So I don't see this as an either-or. vote.

I really think we need to make some progress. Without a mandate from the group (i.e., a successful ballot), we will just ramble on without forcing ourselves (as a group) to commit to technical work. In other words, any technical review will be merely "just an interesting side discussion" rather than a discussion that is integral to our work programme.
