Jim,
Okay. Will try. When I post important quotations or
standard textbook material, I strongly prefer to post
the text by itself, and my current comment separately.
It's partly just the way that I was taught to do things,
taking into account the independence of other people's
thinking process, and partly because this method leaves
a clean copy of reference material in the Archives that
can be reused by link again and again on future occasions
without being trucked up by what is likely to be a dated
or perishable remark. This means that the first citing
takes two messages instead of one, but at least one of
them is likely be worth using again, so you pick up a
long-term efficiency that way. Obviously, they can't
all be winners, but I have been trying to stop and
think, and to post the more incidental stuff or the
longer-term reference material to the Ontology List.

JS: Ok, but please be careful in the future. And unless it's
obvious, please clearly explain how your postings relate.
And also please try not to post too many messages in
a given day, even if they do relate.
