Technical Editor voting rules
SUO Voting Members,
The vote for the SUMO Technical Editor (TE) will start in a few
days. Here are the basic rules as I understand them. Please correct me
if anyone has a better understanding.
The role of TE is not an official position and does not require a
formal election. The Chair can appoint (as well as unappoint) a person
to this position. There is no specified term. As such, this will be an
unofficial vote. The candidate with the most votes wins and will be
appointed by the Chair. A quorum of responses is not required. Members
need not respond to maintain their voting rights.
