Of course this depends on what "describe" means. The phrase "the real
numbers" describes all the real numbers, not just a countable subset. The
meaning of the phrase "the real numbers" can be further defined or described
with a finite phrase such as "the set of all numbers that have an unending
sequence of digits to the right of the decimal point".

So, we may need some description of "describes", some definition of
"define"...
