Vision
To foster industry understanding of electric utility requirements for monitoring, management, and control of the electrical distribution system, establish a standard list of DMS terms, develop standards that define the major application functions, and prepare guidelines to assist electric utilities in planning, procuring, implementing, commissioning, and sustaining a DMS.
Focus on applications for monitoring and controlling the electric distribution system, emphasizing the perspective of control room and field operators and their engineering support organizations.
