IEEE Stray and Contact Voltage Working Group

This working group was formed at the joint request of the PES Distribution Subcommittee members and the EEI T&D Committee.

This working group maintains and updates the IEEE 1695 Guide to Understanding, Diagnosing, and Mitigating Stray and Contact Voltage. The focus of the guide and working group discussions is on power frequency voltages that exist at publicly and privately accessible locations as a result of the delivery and use of electrical energy, including definitions, sources, testing techniques and mitigation strategies.
