The next meeting of the Subcommittee will be held on Monday, November 1st, 1999, at the Westin Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The meeting will begin at approximately 11AM or later, at the termination of the G-2.1.4 meeting. The meeting is being held adjacent to the series of T1A1.5 meetings, organized by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), which will take place from Tuesday, November 2nd to Thursday, November 4th, 1999.
The Draft Agenda for the G-2.1.6 meeting is attached. The Draft Minutes of the 13th meeting of the Subcommittee on July 27th, 1999 should be available on the IEEE Web site soon, courtesy of our Secretary, Doug Lung.

RESERVATIONS:
Call or e-mail Gama Tours when making reservations. Please mention the T1A1/ECI TELECOM meeting to obtain the block room rate of $95 plus tax (standard single/double occupancy) (the Forum rate).
Please state your preference in room type (King or Double, Smoking or Non-Smoking, Arrival and Departure Dates, Number in Party, and Credit Card Number for Guarantee).
Please note that the block of rooms will only be held until Thursday, October 22nd, 1999. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space available basis only, and the room rate may increase.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION:
Public transportation is not convenient in South Florida. We recommend a rental car. Gama tours can provide reservations and best rates. If you prefer, shuttle service is available from the airport to the hotel. Look for the Airporter or Super Shuttle service, price is $20.00 per person round trip for both services. Cab fare from the airport to the Westin Hotel is approximately $22.00.
