There will be a special breakfast meeting of the subcommittees of IEEE G-2.1, including G-2.1.6, on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 in Pavilion 10 of the Las Vegas Hilton. Information and draft agenda for the meeting are available in Word Document 216m2San.doc or Acrobat 21m02San.pdf.
An updated version (October 4, 2000) of the proposed IEEE Standards for Television: Measurements of Chrominance Signal-To- Noise Ratio in Video Magnetic Tape Recording Systems, Project Number 948, is available in both Word (zip compressed) and Adobe PDF versions in the Subcommittee Working Documents area.
A OCR version of the expired IEEE Standard for Measurement of Luminance Signal-to-Noise Ratio in Video Magnetic-Tape Recording Systems is available in the Subcommittee Working Documents password protected area. Note that due to the OCR process, there are some errors in the document.
A copy of Expired IEEE Standard 746 - Performance Measurements of A/D and D/A Converters for PCM Television Video Circuits and an ITU standard which deals with similar measurements, ITU-R BT.1204 are now available in the Subcommittee Working Documents password protected area.
A copy of Revised IEEE Standard 205 - Measurement of Luminance Signal Levels is available in the Subcommittee Working Documents password protected area.
As the 1521 standard nears completion, work on revising IEEE Standard 206 - Measurement of Differential Gain and Differential Phase has slowed. Messages to the G-2.1.4 Email reflector should be sent to: stds-p205@ieee.org. The subcommittee agreed to use Microsoft Word 6.0 (or earlier) for document distribution. Other formats are not prohibited but may not be readable by everyone on the list. Some subscribers are located behind company firewalls that block some files. Contact h.d.lung@ieee.org if you need assistance or wish to upload a large file to this web site. If possible, large files (over 600k) should be posted to the web site (via h.d.lung@ieee.org) along with a reference to the file in an message on the email reflector. A list of programs useful for viewing email messages and files is available on the G-2.1.6 Home Page
The G-2.1.4 Email reflector is up and running. To SUBSCRIBE to a list is to send an e-mail message to majordomo@majordomo.ieee.org and place the command subscribe stds-p205 [email_address] in the body of the message. ie:
