expected progression

Tony will review last couple of minutes and check all items identified
in the current doc. No additional issues identified with the proposed
new clause 6. Next step is to contact the 3 negative balloters on
expressions and attempt to resolve their issues, then move to ballot
recirculation.

new items

Tom raised one new concern, about how to handle mixed-STIL-version
files across Includes. For instance, if the top/starting file defined
"STIL 1.0;" but included a file for Signals that defined "STIL 1.0 {
Design xx; }" and the Signals contained WFCMap statements, when the
Include returned could a Pattern block then contain \j statements?
Greg said this would be an error if the context of the Patterns did
not also identify "Design xx;". But Greg cautioned that it would not
be an expected Usage Model to pop in and out of contexts across
Includes (for instance, return to a "STIL 1.0;" context from the top
file only to Include a Pattern set with "Design xx;" present again).

The proposal was made, that the top/starting file in a STIL test shall
identify a superset of all subsequent contexts of Included files. Each
included file may identify a subset of contexts, but shall not
identify additional contexts not identified from the first STIL
statement.

Peter identified that this concept is overly restrictive in the
presence of IfNeed options, which may disregard included files if they
contain unnecessary information, when only these files contain the
additional contexts.

Tony recommended that this issue be placed in the proposed dot-0
clarification WG, so as to be consistent across all dot
applications. Greg accepted that this may be an acceptable
clarification in the context of the dotted work that has occurred
subsequent to the release of the initial standard.

ITC

Greg will attend the TTSC meeting (the sponsor of this effort) at ITC
next week. Greg forwarded the status summary of all standards
supported by TTSC, assembled by Rohit, to the participants of this
meeting.

Greg identified that there are two Working Group meetings at ITC:
p1450.6 and p1450.4, both (to his knowledge) being held Monday
morning. p1450.6 should have a room announcement in the conference
schedule; p1450.4 is being held separately and interested members
should contact Dave Dowding for details if there's no other
information.

Tony identified that the only STIL paper at ITC this year was one by
Dave Dowding on p1450.4, and that we should all attend the
presentation to vote for this effort by our presence. Dave's paper is
14.3, Wed. morn.

Tony asked all attending ITC to monitor for STC and the OTPL language.

AIs

  1. Tony - make remaining changes to clause 6 (per previous mintues) and contact the 3 negative balloters to review these changes.
