The changes would include: Entity level capability flags used to show 802.1ASrev is supported. AVB_INTERFACE descriptor interface flags to show 802.1ASREV features being available on the port. SET/GET_AVB_INFO command to support enabling and configuring and querying 802.1ASrev special modes. The most important 802.1ASrev mode I can think of is to control the “externalPortConfigurationEnabled” flag, the “logAnnounceInterval” value, and the port role either “Master” or “Slave”, which is used when “externalPortConfigurationEnabled” is true. 802.1AS-2020 2: 802.1Qbv and Qbu Add support for IEEE 802.1Qbv and Qbu egress traffic shapers: Entity level capability flags used to show 802.1Qbv is supported. AVB_INTERFACE descriptor interface flags to show 802.1Qbv features being available on the network interface. SET/GET_AVB_INFO command to support enabling and configuring 802.1Qbv traffic shaping on the network interface. We need to decide what exactly the traffic shaping info needs to be. Is it per AVB_INTERFACE or STREAM_OUTPUT descriptor? 3: 802.1Qcc Parameterized SRP Add support for IEE 802.1Qcc: Entity level capability flags used to show 802.1Qcc supported. AVB_INTERFACE descriptor interface flags to show 802.1Qcc features being available on the network interface. SET/GET_AVB_INFO command to support enabling and configuring 802.1Qcc modes on the network interface. SET/GET_STREAM_INFO command to support configuring stream level SRP parameters. I believe that the primary aspects of the Qcc support will be to be able to tell the entity the stream properties and off-line stream reservation configuration. 4: 802.1CB Frame replication / redundancy. Add support for IEE 802.1CB: Entity level capability flags used to show 802.1CB supported. AVB_INTERFACE descriptor interface flags to show 802.1CB features being available on the network interface. SET/GET_AVB_INFO command to support enabling and configuring 802.1CB modes on the network interface. new commands to support configuring stream level redundancy parameters and which AVB_INTERFACE ports are involved. 5: 802.1Qci: Ingress policing. I’m not sure what 1722.1 entity support is needed for 802.1Qci. If there is, it would be similar to the above and would have configuration commands on a per AVB_INTERFACE descriptor level.
