This is to accommodate the open items from Jeff Koftinoff. Jeff has pointed out that the language currently used in 1722.1 could be revised to address opportunities that have happened in related specifications. 802.1AS-2020 802.1Qbu (Frame Preemption) 802.1Qcc (SRPv2) -- Kieran Tyrrell for 20200311 802.1CB (Frame replication / Redundancy) 802.1Qci (Per stream filtering and policing) 1. ACMP Scalability Options - JDK/AB for 20200311 Allow ACMP commands to be also sent as Unicast messages from the Controller to the Talker and Listener Entities, with the Entities responding via Unicast ACMP responses. This would also allow a “Controller-Driven” connection mechanism which would be useful for connecting IP Talkers with IP Listeners across subnets. This option would be backwards compatible with IEEE 1722.1-2013. Unicast to Unicast - Multicast to Multicast. Change to Controller State Machine 2. DNS-SD IEEE Std 1722.1-2013 Annex C defines the usage of the “_avdecc._tcp” DNS-SD service type for the AVDECC Proxy Protocol on TCP port 17221. We can add definitions for “_avdecc._udp” to allow for DNS-SD publishing of AVDECC entities available via UDP port 17221. Agenda: Continuing discussion from last week and review of proposed text. B.
