Motion P1788/M0002.01_ProcessStructure YES
I vote YES.
I realize there are alternative structures for the document and procedure,
and that a consensus has not been reached on all of the details
of the document. However, the structure is close to 754-2008,
something that will increase the facility with which it can
eventually be included into a revision of 754, thus increasing
the likelihood of it being widely adopted. Furthermore, we
have agreed that the actual wording of the document will be
voted upon paragraph by paragraph, and the content will be
decided issue by issue. Thus, particular issues, such
as modal arithmetic or the content of Motion 3 (presently
under discussion) will be decided later. Although alternative
process structures have merit, it is not totally clear which
is optimal, and it is important that we decide and move on to
more substantial matters.
