Reverse Operations
Marco, dear intervallers
reverse Operations are specific for interval computations and are used
often in situations where detailed infomation of the set of possible
values is required. we need to know both half-bounded intervals of the
reverse multiplication in the extended interval Newton method,e.g.
I therefore suggest two different operators for each operation
one to return the interval hull
The other to return a pair of 2 intervals whose union is an
enclosure of the solution set, the second being empty by default
You may also want to follow the leveled structure of the text.
Juergen
PS: Sitting next door to Marco it may seem strange to write a public
email, but perhaps we can get some comments on the proposal with 2 (or
more) different operators.
It is also clear that such reverse version for elementary functions
should follow as one of the next motions
