REMINDER: Motion P1788/M0014.01: 6.1_and_6.2_of_document: VOTING ENDS THURSDAY
P1788,
REMINDER, the voting period for Motion 14.01 ends on THURSDAY, 2010-06-03
Baker's call is below.
Current tally: Yes - 19; No - 0; Needed to pass: 48 (2/3 of registered voters)
PLEASE VOTE. We have not received 48 votes on any motion so far.
IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO VOTE, you may notify Baker Kearfott and ask to be removed from the roster of Registered Voters. You are welcome to remain in the discussion list, and you may ask to be reinstated as a Registered Voter at any time. Otherwise, not voting is equivalent to voting "No." Our Policies and Procedures specify that Registered Voters not voting in two consecutive ballots on wording for the standard (requiring 2/3 favorable vote to pass) will be removed from the list of Registered Voters. That removal DOES NOT apply to position papers. Motion 14.01 is the first motion to which this process applies.
Clearly, the sense of the Registered Voters so far regarding Motion 14.01 is favorable.
Threat: If fewer than 2/3 of the Registered Voters vote on Motion 14.01, it can be re-submitted immediately. If it again fails to receive votes from 2/3 of the Registered Voters, the effect will be to remove non-voting members. If Motion 14.01 is re-re-submitted immediately, it is likely to be decided. This practice is provided in the P&P so that we can make decisions, and absolutely NOT to approve un-popular measures.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO VOTE "NO" (with rationale) IF THAT IS YOUR OPINION, but
PLEASE VOTE ! ! !
